Meet the founder
From the Army to the trade to your front door
Sean Nelson learned plumbing the long way. After serving in the US Army, he completed a full five-year apprenticeship with Plumbers Local Union 519 in Miami and spent those years in demanding commercial plumbing — the kind of work where a mistake isn't an option and the fundamentals get drilled in for good.
In 2020 he moved to Georgia with his wife Alexandra and their children. He ran crews as a Lead Technician Supervisor in Snellville and then as a Technical Field Manager in Doraville, seeing up close how many homeowners were oversold repairs they didn't need. So he and Alexandra started their own shop in Lilburn on a simple promise: diagnose it honestly, price it upfront, and fix it right.
Today Stars and Pipes Plumbing Atlanta serves Gwinnett, Fulton, and DeKalb counties across Metro Atlanta — from after-hours water heater failures to full repipes and gas line work. The name still belongs to the family that answers the phone.
